Highlights from our previous festivals

2008: In this edition of the festival, interactive workshops took a more prominent role than ever before.
There were workshops on ethics in community arts by Engrenage Noir (Montréal, Canada), on visual arts by Tonny van Sommeren and others, on community film and television, on community music by Ivo van der Borght (Belgium), about radio and Theatre in Chilean prisons by Teatro Pasmi (Santiago, Chile), and on community circus.
The theatre came from the Philippines (PETA), Kenya (Crossroads), England (Bristol, Liverpool), United States (New Haven and Los Angeles), South Africa (Durban), Germany (Münster), Belgium (Kortrijk) and the Netherlands (BAF, Stut, Formaat, Waterhuis and RWT).
The highpoint was undoubtedly the festival's opening production Hand in Hand, with more than 100 participants bringing the 100-year history of Feyenoord football club to the stage.

 

 

2005: Matties by RWT (Rotterdam, the Netherlands), Scherven/Kinderen van de 7e Maand by BAF (Dordrecht/Rotterdam, the Netherlands), Women in Prison by Tivoneleni Vavasati Aids Awareness Project (Elim, South Africa), Peccatoribus by Pregones (the Bronx, New York, US), For Love Nor Money by Acta (Bristol, UK), 36 Street by Spreebühne (Berlin, Germany), If by SOS (Diepsloot, South Africa), Vogels voor de Kat by Sering (Antwerp, Belgium), and Totier (en Nie Verder) by Kunst in de Stad in collaboration with NT Gent (Gent, Belgium).
The 2005 edition of the festival saw our first residency, by The Rubi Theatre Company from New York. During the festival, this company made a short dance performance with young people. The festival also screened a community film for the first time, Zeedrift from the AllAboutUs Film Factory

2003: Players by RWT (Rotterdam, the Netherlands), Engelen by Stut Theater (Utrecht, the Netherlands), Arenas de Villa by Arena y Esteras (Lima, Peru), El Apagón/The Blackout by Pregones (the Bronx, New York, US), Untitled by Soweto Youth Theatre (Soweto, South Africa), Damals waren wir die Fremden by Odysseus Schwestern (Castrop-Rauxel, Germany), Agatha's Kind by Cactus young people's theatre group (Münster, Germany), and Licht Ontvlambaar by Sering (Antwerp, Belgium).

2001: Bigi Famiri by RWT (Rotterdam, the Netherlands), Liefde by Stut Theater (Utrecht, the Netherlands), J'y Suis Resté Depuis by Ditto Ditto (Brussels, Belgium), Pad van Dromen by Sering (Antwerp, Belgium), Merhaba und Tschüss by Tiyatrom (Berlin, Germany), La Mujer Hambrienta by Teatro de la Realidad (Los Angeles, US), and Fair Cop by London Bubble (London, UK).
